What this Privacy Policy covers

This Privacy Policy applies to personal information processed in connection with:

This Privacy Policy should be read alongside our Terms & Conditions, Disclaimer, Cookie Policy and Refund & Cancellation Policy.

Personal information we collect

The personal information we collect depends on how you use Celestial House.

Identity and contact information

We may collect: name, email address, account ID, login details (if you create an account), communication preferences, support messages, and complaint details.

Birth and astrology information

To create chart snapshots, reports and readings, we may collect:

Compatibility reading information

If you request a compatibility reading, we may collect birth details for another person. You are responsible for ensuring you have permission to provide another person's information. Where possible, we minimise the data collected about third parties.

Payment and purchase information

We may collect order ID, product purchased, price paid, currency, payment status, refund status, subscription status, payment provider reference, and receipt details. We do not intentionally store full card details — payments are processed by third-party payment providers.

Booking and live session information

If you book or attend a live reading, we may collect practitioner booked, booking date and time, session length, attendance status, cancellation or rescheduling history, questions submitted, messages exchanged, recording consent, transcription consent, and session notes or summaries.

Recordings, transcripts and summaries

Where live sessions are recorded or transcribed, we may collect audio recordings, transcripts, AI-assisted summaries, human-reviewed notes, and related session materials. You should not share unnecessary medical, mental health, legal, financial, safeguarding or other highly sensitive information during sessions.

Marketing and engagement information

We may collect marketing consent status, newsletter subscription status, unsubscribe status, email engagement data, campaign and referral source, lead status, and follow-up status.

Technical, security and usage information

We may collect IP address, browser type, device type, user agent, approximate location, pages visited, forms submitted, error logs, security logs, fraud prevention data, cookie identifiers, consent logs, policy acceptance records, and timestamps of actions taken on the website.

Practitioner applicant and onboarding information

If you apply to become a Celestial House practitioner, we may collect:

Special category and sensitive information

Celestial House does not ask you to provide special category information such as health data, mental health information, religious beliefs, political opinions, sexuality or biometric data.

However, you may choose to reveal sensitive information during a live reading, support request, or message. Please avoid sharing information that is not necessary for the service.

Where special category or sensitive information is incidentally provided, we will handle it carefully and only use it where necessary — for example, to provide the service, handle a complaint, protect safety, or comply with legal obligations.

We do not use special category information for marketing or advertising profiling.

Celestial House is not a medical, therapeutic, legal, financial, safeguarding or crisis service.

Free chart snapshots

When you request a free chart snapshot, we may collect your name, email address, birth date, birth time, birthplace and related chart data.

We use this to calculate or retrieve basic chart data, generate and send your free snapshot, prevent duplicate or abusive requests, record your consent, and offer you the option to receive marketing emails if you choose to opt in.

Requesting a free snapshot does not automatically opt you into marketing emails.

For free chart users who do not purchase, we will usually delete or anonymise birth details after the retention period shown in this policy, unless we have a lawful reason to keep them for longer.

Paid digital reports

When you purchase a paid digital report, we use your information to process payment, calculate chart data, generate your personalised report, deliver the report, provide support, handle refunds or complaints, keep transaction records, and enforce our Terms and Refund & Cancellation Policy.

Paid reports may be generated, assisted, assembled or formatted using astrology calculation tools, template libraries, automation systems, artificial intelligence tools or third-party APIs.

Unless expressly stated otherwise, digital reports should not be assumed to have been personally written from scratch by a human astrologer.

Compatibility readings and third-party data

If you request a compatibility reading, you may provide information about another person. You must only provide another person's information where you have permission or another appropriate basis to do so.

Where possible, we will minimise third-party data — for example, we may not require the other person's full name.

We may use the other person's birth details only to calculate compatibility information and generate the requested reading. Where possible, we may delete or anonymise the other person's birth details after the reading has been generated.

10a.Public practitioner profile information

If you are approved as a practitioner, some information you provide may be published on your Celestial House practitioner profile.

This may include:

We will not publish your full legal name, private contact details, payout details, signed agreement records, admin review notes or private compliance records unless required by law or agreed with you.

Celestial House may review, edit, reject, pause or remove practitioner profile content where necessary to protect clients, comply with platform standards, or ensure consistency with our Brand and Claims Policy.

Live readings, recordings and transcripts

If you book a live reading, we use your information to manage the booking, connect you with the practitioner, send reminders, support the live session, handle cancellations or rescheduling, provide customer support, and handle complaints or disputes.

Where live readings are recorded or transcribed, this will be made clear before the session begins. Recordings and transcripts may be used to deliver follow-up materials, support customer service, handle complaints, maintain practitioner standards, improve service quality, and comply with legal obligations.

Transcripts may be created using automated tools, artificial intelligence or human review. Transcripts may not be fully accurate.

We will not intentionally record or transcribe a live session without appropriate notice and consent where required.

Artificial intelligence and automation

Celestial House may use artificial intelligence tools, automation systems, template libraries, astrology APIs, transcription tools or other software to support chart calculation, report generation, content formatting, email personalisation, transcription, session summaries, customer support and internal administration.

We aim to use these tools responsibly.

We do not intentionally use your birth data, reports, recordings, transcripts or session notes to train public AI models.

Where we use third-party AI or automation providers, they may process information on our behalf. Where practical, we will avoid sending unnecessary identifying information to AI or automation providers.

Marketing emails

Celestial House may send marketing emails about astrology notes, offers, product updates, practitioner features, newsletters, content releases or promotional messages.

We will only send marketing emails where we have consent or another lawful basis. Requesting a free chart snapshot does not automatically opt you into marketing. Marketing consent is separate from acceptance of our Terms & Conditions. Consent boxes will not be pre-ticked.

You can unsubscribe at any time using the unsubscribe link in any email or by contacting us at .

If you unsubscribe, we may keep your email address on a suppression list to prevent accidental re-addition. Unsubscribing from marketing will not stop essential service emails.

Service emails

We may send service emails where necessary to provide a requested service. These may include: free snapshot delivery, order confirmations, payment receipts, digital report delivery, booking confirmations, session reminders, account messages, password reset emails, refund updates, support responses, complaint updates, and important service notices.

Service emails are not the same as marketing emails.

Cookies and analytics

Celestial House may use cookies or similar technologies to operate the website, remember preferences, support account login, understand website usage, improve performance, analyse marketing performance, prevent fraud, and support affiliate or referral tracking.

Some cookies are necessary for the website to work. Others may require consent. Where consent is required, non-essential cookies and analytics tags will not be activated until consent has been given.

Please read our Cookie Policy for more information about the cookies we use and how to manage your preferences.

We may share limited information with practitioners where necessary to deliver a live reading or respond to a complaint. Practitioners should only receive information they need for the booking or service they are providing.

We may share information with partners, affiliates or referrers where necessary to track referrals or manage partner relationships.

We may also share information where required by law, regulation, court order, tax authority, payment dispute process, fraud investigation, or to protect rights, safety and security.

Where necessary, practitioner applicant and onboarding information may be shared with service providers who support application management, email delivery, document signing, file storage, payout onboarding, scheduling, video calls, compliance review, accounting, legal advice, dispute handling or platform administration. If a practitioner is approved and becomes active, public profile information may be shown to users on the Celestial House website or booking platform.

Celestial House may use providers in the following categories. This list will be updated as our providers are confirmed:

Where a provider processes personal information on our behalf, appropriate contractual protections will be in place where required.

International transfers

Some of our service providers may process personal information outside the United Kingdom or European Economic Area.

Where this happens, we will take steps to ensure that appropriate safeguards are in place, such as adequacy regulations, standard contractual clauses, UK international data transfer arrangements, or other lawful transfer mechanisms where required.
